The Arlington Institute (TAI) offers short term internships to bright and hard working undergraduate and graduate students. Students should have strong interpersonal and communications skills, and have broad interests in global issues such as technology, environment, energy, poverty, health and the intersection of these issues. Potential projects include research and working with TAI's new information technology, DIANE. Regardless of the project, interns can expect to be involved in a high paced and exciting work environment.
Interns should expect a rigorous program, and are asked to contribute in a substantive manner. The Arlington Institute staff is kept relatively small (about 15-20 people), and because of the size and scope of our projects, each person in the office – including interns – must pull a sizable portion of the weight. This enables interns to gain valuable experience, working closely with experts as researchers and assistants on various projects.
Our staff and interns come to us from all over the U.S. and all corners of the globe – this diversity enhances the learning experience for most interns.
DETAILS
The Arlington Institute hosts interns in several fields of study. Internship positions can range from 3 months to 1 year. Students holding internship positions for 3 months generally start at the beginning of February, June and September. Because of a special circumstance, we have a limited number of positions opening in August as well.
